At six years old, she began swimming for YMCA competitive swim programs in New Jersey. At twelve, Kendra qualified for Nationals with the highest ranking of 2cd. She competed in multiple high level competitions against Olympians in the U.S. Open competition. Kendra retired from competitive swimming after her senior year of high school and became a personal trainer. She returned to swimming at the age of 26 in a coaching capacity. During her career, she has coached with three nationally ranked Head Coaches. These coaches have extensively trained Olympians, National Team Members and Olympic Trail Qualifiers. Previously, Kendra was a coach for a New Jersey All-Star team that competed against teams from the North East Region of the country. As a result of these events, she was recruited by a number of Connecticut coaches to join CT Swim programs in 2014. Currently, Kendra is the assistant to the Head Coach of the Cheshire YMCA CDog swim team and she leads the strength and conditioning department and the Junior Group (ages 13-15).
